Not sure about the category here.
Not sure either about what you will make of this. You will probably do one of three things: think this is a good piece, think it is true and not art, or simply draw a blank.
Anyway, I was inspired and perhaps this may provoke some thoughts, perhaps not.

That COULD be art in today's society, if you'd put a deep thought into it that you hid very, very well.

hmm... kinda brings to mind all the things that people post on dA, claming that it's art, when it's really not worthy of being called such. Some people just post random pictures of stuff, believing that any image is art, when that is not the case. Same goes for writing I suppose, but with writing it seems less common, as it's hard to write without thought.

Not saying any of that applies to your work ^_^; sorry, didn't want to give you the wrong idea or anything.

Simplicity often sends the most intricate message. You've done well. If you've intended a commentary; well done. Otherwise... I've drawn a blank on what this could be.
